about

The last two tracks of the album were written by a heavily jet lagged Tom Huissen who found himself awake in the middle of the night in some lousy hotel room in Miami. Former Revelator keyboardman plays piano on these tracks that were recorded on the 4th of March 2001 in his Haarlem home because of the great acoustics

lyrics

Depression
Music and lyrics: Tom Huissen

Sat in the house
Closed the door
Put on my music
Fell down to the floor
I couldn’t get up
Stayed on the floor
Not even the music
Made sense anymore
I was slippin’ into
the dark recess of my depression

Used up my fingers
Stepped on my toes
Didn’t want nobody
Standing by close
I stayed in bed
Didn’t answer no call
My whole world was turning
Into a grey wall
I was slippin’ into
the dark recess of my depression

Numb my senses
Medicate my brain
The High gave me mercy
And strength to unchain
I couldn’t get up
Stayed on the floor
Not even the music
Made sense anymore
I was slippin’ into
the dark recess of my depression

I was slippin’ into
I was slippin’ into
I was slippin’ into
the dark recess of my depression
